Dan grew up in Manchester, with a passion for fishing, and hunting. Dan enjoys a wide range of fishing styles and is as happy landing an 8” brookie from a tiny feeder stream as he is with an 800 Bluefin Tuna from Stellwagen Bank. Dan is USCG licensed and spends a considerable amount of time in the fall commercially fishing for giant Bluefin tuna. Dan is often accompanied in the boat by his Chocolate Lab Boo.

Captain Johnny Johnson is the owner and founder of the Gloucester Charter Connection. He’s well-known as one of the best bluefin tuna fishermen in the Northeast. Paul Hebert is just like you and me: he caught his first fish when he was eight years old, playing around in his dad’s rowboat. The only difference is that Hebert’s fish weighed 1287 pounds. Paul Hebert’s fishing is now profiled on the popular National Geographic television show Wicked Tuna. He and his crew aboard the Gloucester, MA-based Wicked Pissah head out into the North Atlantic each week, hunting big game. And often the payouts are extraordinary.

We are one of Gloucester’s traditional, old school, commercial fishing vessels, working year round to feed the nation. Traditionally we have fished groundfish; cod, haddock and pollack, year round commercially, as well as Giant Bluefin Tuna during the late summer/fall seasons. During a few months of the summer we make the boat available for limited specialty charters for hire.
